SingPost Wins the World Mail Award 2015 for Retail Customer Access Gaining International Recognition for its On-going Efforts to Roll-out POPStations

Singapore, 12 June 2015 - Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) clinched the top award in the Retail Customer Access category for its POPStation suite of services at the 16th World Mail Award 2015 for its system of more than 100 smart lockers which makes it one of the densest networks in the world with average distance between POPStations of only 2.5km.
The award was presented at the Chateau du Lac in Belgium recently and is SingPost's third consecutive year of receiving the coveted World Mail Awards - eCommerce in 2014 and People Management, 2013. It had previously won the top award for Mail Quality.
The World Mail Awards, the annual "Oscars" of the mail and express industry, recognise the achievements and best practices within the postal and express sector. These awards are presented to postal operators or service providers worldwide, which have been reviewed by a prestigious panel of judges comprising Universal Postal Union (UPU) members, international postal industry leaders and users.

It empowers busy and active consumers to pick up or return their parcels at the times that suit them - no waiting at home, office deliveries or restricted opening hours. Its densest islandwide coverage -- more than 100 POPStations available for sending and picking up parcels heightens the level of convenience further as consumers can choose when and where they want to collect or return their online purchases. POPStation also helps enhance online shopping experience by allowing consumers who have concerns about providing credit card details to eMerchants on the internet to pay for their online purchases securely at the POPStation and collect them on-the-spot.
More POPStations will be rolled out across Singapore within the next few years as SingPost plans to increase the network of POPStations to 200, increasing availability for consumers even further. It also intends to expand its network of POPStations to include P-POPS (Personal POPStations) to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individuals who want their own exclusive parcel locker system.
